The R.I. Smith story is unique. Through four generations, our family has guided a strong and successful southwest Nova Scotia seafood company. We’ve been in business since 1933 — that’s 83 years and counting. Our story is one of quality, longevity, tradition and expertise. We’re extremely proud of our history – and yet we like to think our best days remain ahead.

Longevity provides perspective. We understand the ingenuity and flexibility the seafood sector requires. Best of all, we are as passionate about the business today as we were in 1933.
